Giacomo Caliri, an engineer known in the Formula 1 international courses, gave birth to Expotecnica, the first Exhibition and Documentation Centre for the Competition Car Technique and Mechanics.
The museum will be set in Modena, an industrial and artisan town where many highly specialized small and medium manufacturing companies have effectively contributed to the technological development of cars on an international level.
Expotecnica will be a unique and innovative initiative as regards the entire world market. The exhibition will show the history of competition cars through the evolution and the technological development undergone by their single components. The show will be the result of a severe scientific selection concerning the most representative mechanic components of a competition car technical evolution, all sports versions included. The exhibition will be highly interactive: in fact, the visitors will have the possibility to examine the technical component as well as to receive further and more detailed information thanks to multidisciplinary sources, photographs, short films, interviews to designers, and technical specifications.
The first organizational phase has come to an end: Expotecnica team will soon develop this new project of museum and will open the doors to all technicians and fans of this sector.
