Axis fruit bowls A limited edition of Axis fruit bowls comes directly from Australia. An idea by designers Björn Rust and Surya Graff aiming to use
already known materials in a new and original way, the fruit bowls are totally made of anodized aluminium. Their composition is simple
and evident: a rectangular base acts as tray that supports a grid where fruit lays. Both elements can be used separately and come
in several colours in order to create different colour-matchings. The name of this product is chosen after the production technique used:
the multi-axis laser cutting; while the use of aluminium is due to both material saving during the production phase and the elevated heat
resistance that the tray grants even with hot food.
Smart and colourful, these fruit bowls are ideal to conserve fruit in the refrigerator, on the table or even on the desk for a fast break in front of our PC. |

Sorapot New York-based industrial designer Joey Roth’s unique Sorapot evolved from an unlikely combination of the artist’s love of tea and an engineering class on the topic of bridges. The design of the pot emphasizes tea making as a ritual while showcasing the brewing of tea leaves. Roth chose to use aluminium for the Sorapot because of its advantages over other materials. The majority of the aluminium plate used to make the teapot is sourced from Alcoa Bohai, China. It was for some of the same shape - and weight - related benefits that a teakettle was one of the first products made with Alcoa aluminium in 1895, when Arthur Vining Davis created the piece of cookware to display a new use for aluminium.

The different wine cooler Sitting down to eat, tasting the best delicacies, sipping good wine: this is one of the many pleasures of life. For all lovers of the ‘nectar of the Gods’ here is an original wine cooler made of anodized aluminium. The bucket, designed by Robert Groeneveld for the Dutch company La Fraîcheur International, is an elegant interior accessory for the table that can keep the wine temperature constant for more than two hours.
The principle is very simple: just fill the lower part with ice, put the grid on top and wait a couple of minutes for the bucket to cool down. The excellent conductibility of aluminium allows to keep the bottle cool without it getting wet. The water that condensates on the inner side of the bucket drips along the grooves of the outer body and is collected on the bottom thus avoiding drippings and patches. An exquisite little element that connoisseurs will surely appreciate is the side opening to show the wine label.

Miss Cocò coffee maker Homemade coffee is a ritual that accompanies the most important moments during the day, characterised by an unmistakable aroma and taste. For lovers of coffee made in the coffee maker, one more sense will be stimulated as it is being prepared: appearance. Forever, a young company that recently entered the market of household articles, has launched Miss Cocò, a coffee maker which, thanks to a transparent porthole position in the lid, enables the delivery of the coffee to be controlled in order to "see" when it is ready.
However, the innovative features of this coffee maker do not finish with the possibility of controlling the coffee as it is prepared. All the coffee machines produced by Forever feature a precise study of volumes conducted using a computer-based simulation programme which has made it possible to define the best air/water ratio inside the coffee maker; the way in which the water rises through the filter is thus optimised, guaranteeing the constant taste and quality of the coffee. The easily removable and replaceable handle and a gasket in silicon, a material which is hygienic and easy to clean, with a higher resistance to heat than normal rubber, complete the "technical" features of this coffee maker, but not its peculiar aspects. In fact Miss Cocò is produced in a special aluminium alloy in observance of European norms EN601 and EN602. Respect of this norm ensures total suitability for contact with foods.

Coffee: a pleasure also for the eyes Bialetti of Coccaglio, Brescia, revisits the classic Neapolitan coffee maker and, thanks to the creative talent of Giulio Iacchetti who designed the entire Colorama collection, creates “Napoletana”.
The receptacle and the boiler are produced by drawing 99.9% pure aluminium and are joined by a heat resistant polycarbonate band which extends into an ergonomic grip and supports two specular drip catcher spouts, again in aluminium, produced by cold pressing and cropping, which enables also left-handed people to pour the coffee easily into cups.
With Napoletana, the coffee is prepared following an original procedure: the coffee maker is placed on the heat source with the spouts facing downwards until the traditional puff of the boiling water. It is then turned over, allowing the falling hot water to filter through the blend contained in the filter.
