Al-fin Spa: a Group that counts
In the Italian context, the extrusion companies which are the shareholders in Al-fin, with 20 extrusion plants, 52 presses and about 2,300 employees account for more than 55% of the production of extruded sections, with an annual volume of around 220,000 tonnes. With this total production volume of extrusions, Al-fin makes up about 12% of European extrusion production and is the biggest concentration of private non-integrated companies in this compartment in Europe.

From its very foundation, the main objective of Al-fin has been to acquire sources of raw material supplies and the management of long-term contracts for its shareholders; subsequently, the company’s sphere of interest has extended and has become a service supplier in the true sense of the word in the areas of marketing, technologies, technical development and promotion and the organisation of conferences and fairs.

Al-fin created Edimet Spa in 1988, Metef in 1995, Alupromotion Spa in 1999 and aluplanet.com in 2000.

Furthermore in 1999 Al-fin gave its important contribution to the creation of F.A.C.E., Federation of Aluminium Consumers in Europe
